Our Mission

Housing Stability as a Vehicle for Dignity and Opportunity

Veterans Landing at Pershing exists to use real estate development as a purposeful tool for housing stability, dignity, and long-term opportunity. We believe that service to country should not be followed by uncertainty at home.

Through a coordinated public-private-nonprofit partnership model, this initiative seeks to create a thoughtfully designed community where veterans and military families can put down roots, build stability, and own a piece of the communities they helped protect.

Housing Dignity
Stable, quality housing as a foundation for everything else.
Ownership Pathways
Structured programs designed to support long-term homeownership.
Family Stability
A foundation for children, spouses, and communities to thrive.
Community Impact
Local Orlando investment that strengthens neighborhoods.

"Service should not end with uncertainty at home."

Why This Matters

The Challenge Is Real.
The Opportunity Is Now.

Veterans face distinct and compounding challenges when transitioning from military service to civilian life. Housing instability is among the most consequential — and most solvable — of those challenges.

01
Affordability Has Outpaced Service
Home prices in Orlando and across Florida have risen dramatically, placing conventional homeownership out of reach for many transitioning veterans and military families — even those with strong service records and VA benefits.
02
Transition Creates Real Vulnerability
The shift from structured military life to civilian community is among the most disorienting transitions a person can make. Without stable housing, that transition compounds into financial and personal crisis.
03
Families Bear the Weight
Instability doesn't affect veterans alone. Spouses, children, and extended families absorb the impact of housing uncertainty — affecting educational outcomes, employment, and generational trajectory.
04
Ownership Changes Everything
Homeownership is among the most powerful tools for wealth-building, stability, and community belonging. Veterans who achieve stable ownership see measurably better outcomes across health, family, and civic engagement.
05
Coordinated Support Is Rare
While individual programs exist — VA loans, HUD-VASH, various nonprofits — few initiatives bring together real estate development, philanthropy, government, and community partners under one cohesive, place-based mission.
06
The Private Sector Can Help
Corporate sponsors, builders, lenders, foundations, and community organizations have the resources and capacity to meaningfully participate — when given a credible, structured vehicle for impact.
"Those who chose to serve deserve more than gratitude. They deserve stability, dignity, and a place to call home."

How the Model Works

A Four-Part Framework for Lasting Impact

Veterans Landing at Pershing is built on a coordinated model that brings together development, partnership, affordability tools, and long-term ownership pathways.

01
Develop the Community
A 50-townhome community is planned as the physical foundation of the initiative — a real, place-based investment in veteran housing stability in Orlando, Florida.
02
Build the Partnership Stack
The initiative seeks support from public agencies, veteran organizations, nonprofits, foundations, corporate sponsors, lenders, builders, and community advocates — each contributing a layer of the solution.
03
Reduce the Housing Burden
Layered support may help reduce costs through sponsorships, grants, affordability tools, structured financing, and other legally compliant housing mechanisms developed with qualified partners.
04
Create Long-Term Stability
The goal is to help qualified veterans and military families access stable housing and a pathway toward long-term ownership — creating lasting community roots and generational impact.
Final program structure will be developed in collaboration with qualified legal, financial, governmental, and nonprofit partners. This initiative is currently in the planning and partnership development stage.
Who We Aim to Serve

Honoring Those Who Gave Their Service

Veterans Landing at Pershing is designed to serve veterans and military families across a range of backgrounds and service histories — with final eligibility criteria to be determined with program partners.

Veterans
Honorably discharged veterans from all branches of military service seeking stable, attainable housing and a pathway to long-term homeownership.
Disabled Veterans
Veterans with service-connected disabilities who face additional barriers to housing access and deserve communities designed with their needs in mind.
Military Families
Active and veteran military families seeking stable housing environments where children can attend consistent schools and families can build lasting community ties.
Gold Star Families
Families who have lost a loved one in military service — deserving of community, stability, and support as they navigate life after sacrifice.
Transitioning Service Members
Those currently separating from active duty who need a stable housing foundation as they navigate the transition to civilian career and community.
Local Heroes Seeking Stability
Community members within the broader veteran and service-connected ecosystem who are seeking long-term housing opportunity in the Orlando region.
Eligibility criteria will be finalized through the appropriate legal, financial, and program partner development process.

Lenders, CDFIs, and financial institutions can provide construction financing, veteran mortgage products, and CRA-aligned community investment.
Builders & Construction Partners
Builders and contractors can contribute construction capacity, labor commitments, material partnerships, and cost reductions in service of the mission.
Media Partners
Local and national media partners can amplify the mission, connect the initiative to veterans and funders, and document a model worth replicating.

Vision
Founder's Vision

Real Estate as a Vehicle for Stability, Dignity, and Service

Veterans Landing Homes was created from a simple belief: service should not end with housing uncertainty.

Across the country, countless veterans and military families transition out of service carrying the weight of sacrifice, family separation, and years devoted to something larger than themselves. What they deserve in return is not charity — but stability, opportunity, and a place to truly call home.

Veterans Landing Homes exists to help create that future.

Our mission is to build mission-driven housing communities focused on long-term attainable homeownership opportunities for veterans and military families. We believe thoughtfully designed communities can become platforms for dignity, stability, and generational impact — not just places to live.

Veterans Landing at Pershing represents the beginning of that vision.

What starts as a single community in Orlando is intended to become the foundation for a broader national movement centered around housing stability for those who served. The long-term vision extends far beyond one development. We aim to help create communities across the country that are rooted in service, family, opportunity, and pride of place.

This mission cannot be accomplished alone. It requires collaboration between public agencies, veteran organizations, nonprofit partners, builders, lenders, sponsors, and community advocates who believe housing is one of the most meaningful ways to honor service.

Veterans Landing Homes is committed to building communities that last — not only in the physical landscape, but in the lives of the families who will call them home.

We invite you to help build what comes next.
