The Coalition Is How This Gets Built

Veterans Landing at Pershing is not a solo effort. The community we are building will serve veterans and military families at multiple levels — housing, services, advocacy, and belonging — and that kind of comprehensive support requires a coalition of organizations who are already doing this work. The fastest and most effective way to reach those organizations is through the people who already know them. That means you.

A warm introduction from a trusted source carries more weight than any cold outreach. When you introduce a VSO, military-focused nonprofit, housing advocate, or workforce transition program, you are not just making a connection — you are vouching for the mission. That carries real weight in the veterans community, where trust is earned over time and through demonstrated commitment. Your introduction accelerates that trust-building by years.

We are actively building our coalition right now, during the initiative's early development phase. This is the ideal time for organizations to get involved — before the agenda is set, before the community is built, before the partnerships are locked. Organizations that join the coalition at this stage help shape how we serve veterans, what services are integrated into the community, and how the broader veteran ecosystem connects to Veterans Landing at Pershing for years to come.

What Happens After Your Introduction

  • Dedicated, personalized outreach to the introduced organization within 5 business days
  • Formal briefing on partnership opportunities and coalition membership structure
  • Invitation for the organization to join the advisory coalition if there is alignment
  • Credit given to you as the connector in all communications with the introduced org
  • Follow-up message to you with an update on how the introduction developed

Coalition Introduction FAQ

What types of organizations are you looking for?
We are looking for organizations that serve veterans and military families in meaningful ways — particularly those focused on housing, services, mental health, workforce transition, advocacy, and community building. VSOs, nonprofits, foundations, and mission-aligned programs of any size are welcome. If they touch the lives of veterans, we want to know about them.
What happens after I submit an introduction?
Within 5 business days, a member of our team will reach out to the organization you introduced — mentioning your name as the connector. We conduct a brief alignment conversation to understand their work and explore partnership possibilities. After that outreach, we follow up with you to let you know how the introduction landed and what comes next.
Does the organization need to be Florida-based?
No. While Veterans Landing at Pershing is a community in Orlando, Florida, our coalition welcomes organizations from across the country. National VSOs, advocacy networks, and mission partners with a broad reach can all play meaningful roles in supporting or amplifying this initiative, even if they do not have a local Florida presence.
Can I introduce more than one organization?
Absolutely. You can submit multiple introductions — either in a single form submission or across separate submissions. We track each introduction individually and follow up on each one. If you know multiple organizations that should be part of this coalition, we encourage you to introduce them all.
What if I'm not sure if an org is a good fit?
Submit the introduction and let us make that determination. We would rather hear about an organization and decide it's not the right fit than miss a potential partner because someone hesitated. We are not looking for perfect matches — we are looking for alignment, and sometimes that is hard to assess from the outside. We appreciate every introduction.
