Will I know the family living in my sponsored home?
We share general information about resident families with sponsors — including branch of service, family composition, and community involvement — where residents have consented to be featured. We host a dedication ceremony for each unit that sponsors are invited to attend. Direct personal introduction depends on resident preference and we always defer to the family's comfort and privacy.
Is this tax deductible?
The tax treatment of home sponsorship contributions depends on the structure of the transaction and the tax status of the receiving entity, as well as your own tax situation. We strongly encourage you to consult with a tax advisor or CPA before finalizing any contribution. We are happy to provide documentation that supports your advisor's analysis.
